Quick Edit Feature for Android Rolled Out by Instagram

Instagram has rolled out a new Quick Edit feature on the Android app. The latest Quick Edit/Filter screen has been spotted in version 7.3.0 that is presently unavailable by Google Play.

The previous Instagram update bumped up the version to 7.2.4 and the expected Facebook owned company to start pushing the new version very soon to Google Play. For those who are unwilling to wait for the official version may download signed apk file. The latest Quick Edit or Filter feature of Android was first reported by Droid-Life.

In the previous version, users ought to click an image and then select filter before shifting to the final post screen on the Instagram app. But with the current update, users are taken to the page where filters are adjusted with swiping screen after clicking an image. If someone requires more editing tools, you may tap on the “Edit” button that is placed on the bottom left of the image displayed. Notably, the edit screen also pops up few nearby locations to select from, though the feature will only work when the GPS is turned on to determine to the present location.

Last week, a search bar was added by Instagram on the website bringing it closer to the mobile counterpart. At the top of the page, users notice a search bar placed while logging onto their Instagram accounts present on the web.

Instagram gave the liberty to its users to upload and view high resolution (1080*1080) images later this month with the changes rolling out to iOS apps and Android slowly. The images on the photo-sharing website stayed until now with 640*640-pixel resolution.
